What is Next?

Blog Post #3

As you know, we have completed our first interview and made great headway on our editing; however, we don't know what direction to go in now. We think that the best next move would be to interview cops about what they have seen and possibly get a ride with one to see how they respond to these tragic affairs. Anyways, so far we have learned the terrible consequences of distracted driving and continue to research its repercussions. Our only setback has been the direction in which we wish to go as I stated above. As we keep looking forward though, we can see the strength that people have. By digging into people's personal lives, we have been able to see the raw person behind the facade put up for high school. It is fascinating to see how people have come to cope with how distracted driving has left them.
In the weeks to come, we plan to strive to complete our general outline and idea for the rest of our documentary. Hopefully, we will be able to tell others' stories effectively and shine a light on the dangers of distracted driving to a wide range of people.
Till next time.....

  1. What if you conducted more interviews with parents and kids? And in the documentary, you can specifically focus on one-two kids' cases that were extreme. I think you both know what you are doing and know what you want to accomplish! Great planning! Can't wait to see the end product :)

  2. Wow, being able to get a ride with a cop and personally see how he or she responds to this type of problem would be really cool! I think something you guys should consider would be to put together some clips of people's initial thoughts of distracted driving itself and compare it to clips of the thoughts of families who maybe lost a loved one to distracted driving. It would be really interesting to see the difference of how the two groups view the same topic.
